Save the Date!
Tuesday, September 16, 2008
Oregon Convention Center
777 NE Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd
Save the date for Oregon Health Forum's 2008 conference! Meanwhile, learn more about what we did last year:
Last year's dynamic conference was attended by over 300 industry professionals. Throughout the day, we explored public and private partnerships within today's health system, and even proposed new partnerships during the Partnership Challenge. Over twenty proposals were submitted for review by Northwest Health Foundation. Drumroll, please...
$10,000 Grant goes to: A partnership between the Central Oregon Health Collaborative and the Oregon Coalition of Health Care Purchasers that will promote wellness and health behavior change programs in small firms that cannot support such programs on their own. The Oregon Coalition of Health Care Purchasers will work with the Central Oregon Health Collaborative and other partner organizations to develop, plan, and pilot the project in Deschutes County. The grant awardees, Northwest Health Foundation and Oregon Health Forum recently had their initial meeting:

- A partnership between the Governor’s office, Department of Human Services Office of Health Policy and Research and Office of Health Systems Planning, Oregon Business Association, Oregon Business Council, Oregon Health Care Purchasers, and health plans that will improve health by engaging Oregon and Oregonians to support and choose healthy behavior by accepting the healthiest state in the nation challenge from Washington state.
- A partnership between the Northeast Oregon Network, Elgin Clinic, Eastern Oregon/OHSU, OHSU’s Office of Rural Health, Department of Human Services Office of Health Systems Planning, PacificSource, Center for Human Development at Eastern Oregon University, cities of Baker, Union and Wallowa, tribal government, Association of School Nurses, and the School-Based Health Care Network that will improve health by maintaining access to health care and exploring the potential to increase access through engaging the community and developing a sustainability plan.

CareOregon, Acumentra, Department of Human Services Public Health Division, and the Medicaid Advisory Committee that will improve health by evaluating what real consumers in Oregon want with regard to a health care delivery system and feeding this information to relevant policy bodies such as the Oregon Health Fund Board.
