Assessing Community Health Initiatives
Wednesday, November 7, 2007
11:30 am - 1:30 pm
Eugene Hilton & Conference Center
66 East 6th Avenue, Eugene
Thanks to all who joined us in Eugene this month to talk about three community health initiatives: Central Oregon Health Collaborative, Jefferson Regional Health Alliance and Lane County 100% Access Healthcare Initiative. Our panel discussed the motivation behind creating community alliances and described greater communication between neighbors, stakeholders and businesses as one positive outcome. Just hours after the defeat of Measure 50, Gov. Kulongoski's Deputy Chief of Staff Tim Nesbitt expressed disappointment with the voting outcome, all the while stressing a lesson learned. The Oregon Health Fund Board's Director, Barney Speight, also contributed to the discussion and outlined the make-up and goals of the Board. Scroll down for a few photos from the event.
