In the midst of another legislative session, Oregon Health Forum recognized the leadership of three legislators who’ve gone above and beyond in helping improve the health of Oregonians:

Senator Avel Gordly (I-Portland)
Representative Mitch Greenlick (D-Portland)
Representative Dennis Richardson (R-Central Point)

Senator Gordly has been a passionate leader in the areas of mental health and physical impairment, as well as the health disparities of the needy. Representative Greenlick has spent his life’s work on health care policy, with a remarkable list of achievements in the realm of public health. Finally, Representative Richardson, known for asking tough questions on public policy proposals, has stepped into a leadership role on the adequacy and stability of Oregon’s budget, with concrete steps for health care reform.

This event was in Salem at the Mission Mill Museum. Senators Alan Bates and Ben Westlund served as emcees of this special awards luncheon. Many thanks to the sponsors at left who helped make this event possible!
